専門は熱エネルギーシステムの解析。これまで家庭用のヒートポンプ給湯機や暖房機、コージェネレーションシステム、産業用プロセス加熱ヒートポンプを実験的に分析してきた。機器の開発や評価だけでなく、普及促進のための調査・分析もしている。目標は、家庭の節約、国の省エネ、地球レベルでの地球温暖化抑制。
